Information

NOT FAIR is an event which changes its formula on the occasion of each edition, adapting it to the current circumstances. NOT FAIR experiments with formats: exhibition, salon, art fair – it is a meeting place for professionals and a wide range of art lovers.

NOT FAIR is a cyclical event devoted to contemporary art and a platform for cooperation between active participants of the art scene. The upcoming edition will take the form of an exhibition dedicated to collecting ambitious Polish contemporary art. It will feature works by some twenty artists on loan from over a dozen private collections.
The exhibition follows on from the 2005 presentation "Potential. Contemporary Art Collections for the Museum...". However, it is not so much a broad overview of the resources of Polish private collections, but rather focuses on the works of mainly young, but already established, Polish artists. Especially on works with a "museum" character – made in new, non-standard techniques, in formats exceeding two dimensions – such as sculptures, installations, objects, videos, performance documentations.
The presentation also signals the culture-creating potential of investing directly in the living art ecosystem - the artists and the young galleries representing them that are active both locally and internationally.

This year's edition will inaugurate the newly established B'Fort building, located in the green and cultural enclave of Warsaw's Fort Mokotów.
